Cave description
Gălăşeni Cave is located in the village of the same name in Măgeşti commune. The “Silver Haystack” and the “Crystal Gallery” are just some of the attractions that make visiting this cave a memory for a lifetime.
Gălăşeni Cave is a cave with active and fossil sectors, with positive and negative drops, with galleries and warm rooms, beautifully concretized. It has a development of 2,495 meters and offers optimal conditions of temperature and humidity for bats, both for hibernation and for the birth and rearing of babies.
“I would note the Bat Hall, especially for the fact that no less than 16 species of bats live there. One of the most beautiful formations here, the Silver Haystack, will surely remain in the memory of anyone who saw it. Just like the Crystal Gallery. In a word, a wonderful cave.” (Andrei Acs, C.A.P.D.D. Bihor)
