In Roșia commune there are some of the most beautiful gorges of Pădurea Craiului mountains, Cuţilor gorges. The tourist route here is guarded by sharp cliffs and high rock walls. From place to place, cave entrances, open to unknown worlds, enhance the aura of mystery of the landscape. It is recommended that they be admired from a distance, because none of them are arranged for tourist purposes.
The hiking route “Cheile Cuţilor Circuit” marked with a red dot, guides tourists along the gorges and to some beautiful viewpoints located on the peaks on the left side of the valley. The tourist route starts from the end of Ponița village.
Brave tourists can venture on the via ferrata route. The ascent on the vertical walls, the crossing of a cave, and especially the crossing of the Indian bridge will test their skill and balance.
In short, the gorges are a mini adventure park in nature.

On foot:
From the center of Roșia, follow the road that leads to the Cave with Crystals from the Farcu mine, and at the second intersection, turn left. The road follows the Cuţilor valley to the village of Ponița. We recommend that you park your car near the small grocery store in Ponița, from where you can continue on foot for 10 minutes to the end of the village, from where the actual route begins.
