
A true atlas of the forgotten underwater life well preserved in stone, Hârtopu Bonchii cave has a length of over six kilometers. Here nature hid fossils of snails and prehistoric shells, truly unique, imprinted in the rock. Immediately after the entrance there is a vertical fall, almost ten meters deep. At the base of this vertical is a stream, the cave being an active one.
The Pools Hall, the Column Hall, the Cathedral Hall, the Suspended Hall or the Hall of Collapses, offer the daredevils who manage to reach them the image of a dream world.
Hârtopu Bonchii is one of the adventure caves of Padurea Craiului.
Attention, the visit is allowed only in the company of accredited guides!
In order to visit the caves in Pădurea Craiului, tourists must contact a local operator, who will make them a price offer and facilitate the visit, in accordance with the visiting regulations. Hârtopu Bonchii Cave is located on the Farcu plateau, a short distance from the Crystal Cave from the Farcu mine, not far from the paved road that leads to this well-known tourist attraction.
This cave is located two steps away from the mountain bike routes T3 “Pădurea Craiului, all-inclusive” and T9 “Valea Roșiei in pictures”.

Once in the center of Roșia commune, the access to Hârtopul Bonchii is similar to the one to the Crystal Cave from Farcu mine, following the signs to it, on the asphalted communal road, for a distance of 3 km.
