The waterfall with three names. It is called Laia Mare, Miss, or Hotvole and is part of the circuit of waterfalls of the Iadului Valley. Marked with a red dot, this route “ticks” the most beautiful waterfalls near the resort of Stâna de Vale.

If the complete route requires a good physical condition, the access to the Laia Mare waterfall can be easily made, from the county road 108J. After crossing the water of Iadului Valley, follow the marked path that climbs through the forest. The road to the waterfall is as beautiful as it is challenging.

The waterfall is about 25 meters high. The stream comes down the valley in two steps, slipping through a few rocky cliffs. At the right time of day, the sun’s rays make the splashes of water floating in the air “light up” in all the colors of the rainbow.

In rainy periods or in spring, when the snow on the peak of the same name melts as the waterfall melts, access to the waterfall can be more difficult, but the great spectacle of nature fully compensates for the effort made.
