Built in 1730 by the community from the village of Vălani de Pomezeu, the wooden church impresses with its interior decorations, sculpted by the carpenters who built it: rosettes, ropes, rhomboids, stellar motifs.

Made in two stages, the interior painting surprises with color. From the first painting, dating from the eighteenth century, only a few fragments can be seen in the apse of the church. The second layer was painted in 1867 by M. Palann. Interesting and very rare are the 24 wooden boxes on the vault of the nave, in which biblical scenes, archangels and evangelists were pictorially represented. On the iconostasis was painted the scene of the crucifixion of Jesus, the Resurrection and icons of the twelve apostles.

Viewed from the outside, the place impresses especially with its discreet beauty and the entrance frame, elegantly carved.
