The monumental church, dating from the 17th century, was moved to its current location around 1860.

In 1930, the wooden construction was completely covered with plaster, both inside and outside, a work that caused the irreparable loss of painting in the church. On this occasion, the windows of the place were also enlarged.

In 1956, a team of specialists, led by the master Ioan Gavra, restored the church again, partially restoring its original shape. From this were preserved the very beautiful ornaments carved in wood, the arch of the vault, the frame of the nave and the awning door.

An interesting element of this church is the porch that surrounds the building on all four sides of it and the supporting elements of the roof. The church tower is 16 meters high, helmet-shaped and is covered with shingles, as is the entire shrine.
