The longest sector of gorge in the Apuseni mountains, 10 kilometers long, the Videi gorges are a real land of springs, pit-holes and caves, of spectacular erosion phenomena, hidden in the narrow space of some vertical stone walls that can reach up to 250 meters high.

Located in the middle and upper basin of the valley of the same name, delimited downstream by the Vida lake, the Videi gorges start, upstream, at the confluence with their tributary, Viduța.

Having its origins in the western part of the Zece Hotare plateau, Vida valley crosses places of a rare scenery. The narrow, steep and meandering sectors unfold in the shape of a horseshoe.

Over 130 underground cavities have been discovered in the entire Vida valley basin, whose dimensions vary from 5 to 773 meters in length. From one end to the other, the gorges can be an attractive destination for all nature lovers.
